At Invisible blue, I specialised in experiential events, taking these projects from the initial client meeting through to overseeing their production onsite. Regardless of the size or type of project, I will create detailed moodboards, visuals and floor plans as part of the pitch. I will then work with the client to develop these into a clear design concept, project plan (including a budget) and floor plan. Next, I will create the entire CAD for production and oversee all creations within our in-house warehouse and liaise with all suppliers. Finally, I will manage the onsite installations with a team of carpenters, artists and logistics crew. This role has provided me with the opportunity to learn and take charge of the entire design process. It has also required me to have excellent project management skills where I have had to effectively lead a team of up to sixty people to create the client’s design concept at pace and with competing deadlines.

Another important aspect of my role at Invisible Blue is client management. This is because the business model relies on the company’s (and it’s employees’) reputation. The majority of the clients are influential corporate customers, such as: GOOP, Mont Blanc, Channel 4, Pat McGrath, Ardberg, Veuve Cliquot, Malone Souliers, Cadbury, The Lion King, Clarins, Peroni and BLOOM Gin. I have also worked on a variety of private events (such as large-scale weddings), exhibition spaces, retail, pop-up restaurants and bespoke one-off design installations. Clients request that we bring their ambitious concepts to life for their events, which will often involve creating novel and exciting experiences for their attendees to enjoy. Here, I work collaboratively with clients to create their concepts within my designs whilst maintaining a close, personal relationship with them. This approach has allowed me to generate hundreds of thousands of pounds for Invisible Blue by retaining clients for future jobs and gaining dozens of projects to my portfolio through their recommendations.
